Please note:

We are a tramping club. Tramps are generally on rougher tracks, away from civilisation, can be single or multi-day trips and involve commitment.
As well as tramps, we regularly run easier day-walks, urban or bush, that are good for building fitness and experience, meeting other members and learning about tramping.
Non-members are welcome on our day-walks! There is a small extra cost, and we ask that you contact the trip organiser to register in advance.
If you aren’t experienced in tramping or bushcraft, we will ask you to complete two of our medium day-walks first before you come on our harder tramps. (Please refer here for TRIP GRADINGS - scroll down the page)

Please pay your membership fee when you apply, by either:

Your application will be forwarded to the club committee for approval. The primary criteria for acceptance are for you to have demonstrated:

You follow the clubs safety guidelines (see here), and are able to be responsible for your own safety;
You have a sufficient level of fitness (before participating in harder tramps).

When your application is accepted, we will advise you by phone or email and will send you a membership pack.

In the unlikely event that your application is not accepted, your application fee will be returned in full.

Reduced Trip Fees - avoid non-member surcharges for Sunday and away trips
Away Trips - register for away trips
Training Course Subsidies - a 50% subsidy on completion of club approved tramping related courses
Loan Gear - borrow club gear such as tents, cookers, packs, etc for free for club trips. Gear may be hired for non‐club trips for a minimal charge
Club Library - borrow books from the large club library

The membership fee is payable with your application. The annual NSTC fees are:

Ordinary - $48.00 prorated (18 yrs or older)
Junior - $5.00 for the year (under 18). Children under the age of 14 must be in the charge of an adult
Associate - $5.00 for the year (18 yrs or older). Intended for members who do not wish to tramp. Associate members do not receive member discounts on day trips, cannot participate in away trips, or receive training course subsidies or borrow club gear. Can subscribe to the club newsletter and join FMC

Extras:

The membership year runs from July to June. Ordinary membership fees are prorated when joining part way through the year.
